About This Site

This site collects comprehensive material on the artworks, exhibitions, bibliographic information, and other artist activities of Yoshitomo Nara, spanning from 1983 when he began his professional career to the present day. The Yoshitomo Nara Foundation manages and operates this site with the objective of collecting and providing accurate information on the artist and his works.

• Basic information on artworks is taken from Yoshitomo Nara: The Complete Works (Bijutsu Shuppan-sha, published 2011), and Rabbit Hills Co. Ltd. together with Yoshitomo Nara himself. The information also reflects the results of the Foundation’s research, and is periodically updated.
• All of the images used were selected arbitrarily from currently available sources by the Foundation.

Knowingly selling counterfeits, copies, or images imitating Nara’s style as artwork by Yoshitomo Nara is a violation of copyright law. All violators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law if discovered by the artist or the Foundation.
In recent years, we have received numerous reports of counterfeits and copies being sold as original artworks, official multiples, or licensed products on online auction sites and resale market sites. Before making a purchase, please consult resources such as this site’s catalogue raisonné to confirm details like provenance and signature. Neither Yoshitomo Nara nor the Foundation will be involved in or bear any responsibility for any loss or damage incurred through purchases of works.
